Kaylee Jones
I am a first year PhD student in the Geography Department working with Andrea Brunelle. I will be researching the paleoecology of western Utah, using pollen and charcoal to reconstruct past vegetation assemblages and fire regimes.
I completed a BS in Geology from Appalachian State University in the spring of 2013. In the spring of 2015, I received a MS in Geoscience and a MCRT in GIS from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. At UNCW, I used pollen and charcoal records from two Carolina Bays to reconstruct vegetation and climate change in southeastern North Carolina.
I love skiiing, hiking, baking, gardening, and playing with my two dogs.
