CSBS Student Research Day 2013

The CSBS Student Research Day was held on April 25, 2013 in the Marriott Library. Both undergraduate and graduate students discussed their latest findings in research from all different areas of the college.  Geography student researchers were recognized in both  categories:

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH

Vanessa Chavez and Kelsey Howard were awarded first place for their research examining sediment samples of a desert wetland in New Mexico to construct a fire history for the area.  View poster

GRADUATE RESEARCH

James Arnold, a Master's student studying the modeling of climate-fire connections within the the Great Basin and Upper Colorado River Basin, won the second place award in the graduate research category.  James completed his Master's degree in May 2013.  View poster
